Diggin this song since I stumbled upon it on Youtube a few months back. Ya’ll KILLED tha costumes, editin and special effects, it was so clean and professional lookin! Michael was a true hero to me in every sense of the word. When I think of Michael, I think of the similarities he and I had. I didnt have a childhood just like Michael. I got had a dad that was abusive and hard on me like Michael. I was shy like Michael, especially when it came to girls. I could dance like Michael, only lacking his moonwalk. He made me color blind, the first person to really show me and those in my generation that it truly didn’t matter if you were black or white. My thoughts echoed yours regarding the review of an interview she should regard as the interview of a lifetime to what she always does, which is make everything about her. She is no different in my opinion then a Martin Brasher who slants the questioning to support her opinion. I haven’t watched her program in years and tuned in because I thought she would reflect on the man and his contribution and not on her hair. She should have made a comment on those fake colored contacts she was wearing. I never believe Michael was guilty of anything except allowing himself to be put in such a vulnerable position. In a way I am glad Oprah did this, because she has such a large audience, and they at least heard Michael speak from his heart (as always) and the world got to see his beautiful smile, and hear his loving giggle, but I do agree with Debohra French…. Oprah did not give him the credit he so deserves. She did not validate his innocence. I did not like the fact that she was so disturbed by the alarm going off, when Michael wasn’t even fazed. Well….. he wasnt fased because he was discussing something in depth that was interrupted, and was unable to finish his thought. This creature of GOD has the most innocent and beautiful mind of all humans, and she did not let him speak, she cut him off.

It was with a growing sense of astonishment that I watched the Oprah Winfrey show on Michael Jackson – her sole public comment on his death so far. Whilst replaying her seminal 1993 interview, Oprah proceeded to tell her viewers how she had felt at various points during it. Topics included her hair, her feelings of nervousness, what she was wearing and other similar reflections. Strangely, no airtime was given over to discussing the ambivalence of the legacy Michael’s children have been left with, and it had apparently been deemed unnecessary by Oprah to probe into the allegations Michael faced during his life. Throughout the interview Oprah displayed such a palpable air of disinterest in her subject, it was unclear as to precisely what her reasons for airing the show in the first place actually were. It’s difficult to believe that a woman whose personal wealth was built on a reputation for journalistic truth and justice can really be unaware of the profoundly substantial questions hanging over the authenticity of the molestation allegations made by Evan Chandler on behalf of his son Jordan. Unbelieveable, because Oprah has the same access to information that everyone else has. There is an enormous amount of evidence out there to support the view that Michael Jackson was completely innocent of the charges alleged against him in 1993, and again in 2005, and that he was in fact the victim of an elaborate and bold extortion attempt that proved – in the end, to be very successful. The award winning 1994 article written by Mary A. Fischer – ”Was Michael Jackson Framed’ – details not only the lack of evidence behind the Chandlers claims, but also the full extent of the non-credibilty of Evan Chandler. Jordan only accused Michael after a hypnotic drug was administered – Evan authorized its use after Jordan was allegedly reluctant to go on record to state he had been abused. What is perhaps less well known, but again is well documented by authors such as Aphrodite Jones in her book ‘The Michael Jackson Conspiracy’ and numerous other authors and witnesses to the events of 1993 and 2005, including Thomas Mesereau and Brian Oxman – is the level of complicit involvement between Chandler’s lawyer, Tom Sneddon’s department and key players in the media like Maureen Orth, Diane Dimond and the online tabloid site ‘The Smoking Gun.’ This complicitness would keep a ratings-driven media motivated to supply grossly inflated horror stories about Michael to a baying and eager public. In a gesture of compliance with the police investigation, Michael agreed to a humiliating, physical examination of his body to clear his name. Jordan had asserted Michael had been circumcised – he had not, he also claimed Michael had discolourations on his genitalia – there were none. It is perhaps the level of media viciousness directed towards Michael for over 15 years however that remains in most people’s minds. The sheer amount of stories, comedy shows, talks shows, television programmes, newspaper articles and panels of ’so-called’ experts that would become d999evoted to negatively reporting on the allegations, would reach unprecedented levels of coverage and hostility. It is interesting to note just how many people – now that Michael is dead – have said it was the homogenity of the media’s stance that made them think Michael was guilty. I believe Tom Sneddon, Diane Dimond, Maureen Orth, Evan Chandler (I do not include Jordan as he was a child) and his lawyers – Rothman and Feldman, to be the key protagonists of the sustained media and legal attacks Michael faced from 1993 onwards. These attacks would erode and degrade Michael’s spirit and profoundly damage his once stratospheric career. It is against this background of a lack of answers and the grief of millions of people, that Oprah’s choice not to explore the possibilty that the truth about Michael has for 15 years been distorted and manipulated into something vastly different from what we have been led to believe, can be seen as truly extraordinary. There is no room here to cover the scandalous claims of the mother of the alleged victim in 2005, who admitted on oath that she had made her son lie to support her claim that she had been sexually abused by staff in a J.C Penny’s store. What I will say is this: So many are grieving not only for a life tragically ended, but also for the damage done to Michael’s name and legacy, yet Oprah decided we would rather hear about how excited she felt when she first saw the fun rides at Neverland. No-one said her show had to be a Disney tribute, but it didn’t have to amount to little more than a glorified slideshow either. For a woman famed for asking the difficult questions, the uncomfortable questions, Oprah’s show came across as an afterthought. Michael Jackson, perhaps the greatest entertainer of all time, who gave a black woman in the early 1990’s the career break of a lifetime – deserved better.

Ps. I saw your Oprah report; I agree that she used the opportunity to vent and reflect, but I deffinitely don’t think she was loyal or just with her representation. She kept referring to MJ before the allegations (as if she was in doubt) and glorified her ground breaking interview (the one that made her) as being the pinacle importance, rather than admitting her judgement all these years, and, validating why she did not mention a word since his death only to ensure ratings and interest in this so called tribute. I loved her interview in ‘93, she was real back then. Her reflections however, left me dissapointed and reinforced that her main interest was to join the bandwagon of the bs media force and sudden realisation of their love for Michael Jackson.

So impressed with this song, its beautifully constructed, the words are very appropriate, people forget Michael wasn’t just a singer/performer, he goes down in history as one of the growing group of “Black leaders” of our times, he fought for what he believed in, freedom of speech and equality and most of all peace through all mankind, Michael saw no wrong in no-one, in the end this is what betrayed him, his trust in people he called friends and family.

This is brilliant! I remember being introduced to his music and the Jacksons by my brother Michael when I was very young and have loved it ever since. We would dance to it and enjoy it together with my other brother. He feels like a member of our family. I wish the media had been kinder to him. He was a wonderful human being. Thank you!

My memory about Michael: exactly 13 years ago I was meeting him for the first time, in person! Never spoke to him but I yelled I LOVE YOU MICHAEL and he turned around to me haved, blew a kiss and said I love you too !

Michael was a powerful African American legend whose influence mirrored that of Jesus Christ. Just like Jesus was crucified, so was Michael. Just like Jesus was falsely accused, so was Michael. Just like Jesus was persecutied without cause, so was Michael. He never claimed to be God or Jesus Christ, but he died spreading the principles of Jesus Christ and in the process was able to break down all barriers of race, cultural, gender, age, religion, etc. just like Dr. King and Malcolm X and others fought and died for. Yes, We must continue to keep Michael’s legacy alive and let him shine.. let him shine through us to the next generations so they can see and appreciate all he did for African American history and culture and for the world.

i went too michaels history tour in brisbane australia which was held at ANZ STADIUM a sell out. as i grew up with all his songs that he ever created the concert wqas pumping and michael numerous other visits too australia which was a telephone held in perth western australia appeared on our local show countdown with molly meldrum. the history concert will always be remembered in australia as i was living on the sunshine coast at the time and every coach that left the coast was packed with fans which we all travelled that afternoon by coach well done michael on an excellent history tour too australia we will miss you but never ever forget what you become over the years off success. as your song too ryan gone to soon and know your gone too soon michael had much more talent within himself too produce even bigger concerts worldwide. i think as your loyal fans around the world will agree that there will never be another michael jackson as you will always remain as the king of pop that you created with sony music. we will love you forever (Barry-Brisbane AUSTRALIA)

Micheal was a true artist, innovator and beautiful human being and yes we do need to keep what he stood for alive. When I think of Micheal I think of magic and wonderment….the child in all of us.

Your fans and billions across the world still cant believe that you have gone. Since i was 8 i always played your music and now you have gone, I still cant stop playing every one of your songs. Even when i am sleeping i keep your music going. This is happening everywhere and will continue forever. You will never ever stop being in this world because you rock this world.
What hurts me the most is the fact that you did so much, more than any human, yet those evil people tried so hard to bring you down. Like all role models of colour they’ve always tried to bring them down. But you stood up and fought back. To this strength makes me stronger everyday. They never won because you never gave up, and you still haven’t because you are bigger than ever.
Watching you makes me feel safe that a person of colour can make a positive change in this world. Don’t worry Michael like always we wont stop til we get enough either.

The video is awesome as expected. I never thought of myself as a MJ fan. Why is it that something has to be gone before you really LOOK at it, really SEE it for what it is? Life is too short. I am sad about this every day! I have no cd’s,records,tapes or anything of MJ’s. But I sit in front of the computer screen crying,watching videos-listening to HIS music,looking at his face in the clips and I wonder WHY didn’t I see this before? Like everyone else I WILL MISS MJ. When I watch and listen to him sing “SMILE” it brings me back to the whole point of it all-but why he had to die—Ijust don’t get it.
